Default JDM sti V8 + E10 compatibility?

i current has a gc8 with an V8 jdm sti motor. is this fuel suitable ? have read from few australian and new zealand subaru site that this is not suitable for jap import vehicle

Should be fine.
Many people - including myself - use(d) ethanol with petrol blends and actually up to around 30% ethanol should be fine without remap/changing injectors etc.

Also search the forum for (bio)ethanol topics - that should also make many things clear for you hopefully.

this information i gather came from subaru manufacturer how could these be suitable?

just had a email recieve from a personal friend and owner of bozzspeed japan. he told me to definitely stay away from ethanol blended fuel for JDm vehicle n motors

Why are they saying you can't use ethanol in the JDM motor, do they give any specific reasons? This is the first I've heard.

Was under the impression it was to do with the E10 causing some rubber components in the fuel system ( fuel pump,fuel lines,injector O rings etc ) to swell up and fail.

Stand to be corrected on that one though.

am still trying to get more info from subaru japan but since i cant read the japanese language on there websiites its hard to get the real truth regarding fuel comaptibility
