LINK ECU for v7 wrx - map needed
hi all,
i have a MY01 v7 WRX - non AVCS heads model.
5 speed manual.
i have done a fair bit of mods but will list the ones important to this thread:
- parrallel fuel rail (factory pressure regulators)
- bigger fuel pump
- front mount intercooler
- 3 inch exhaust
- HKS EVC4 Boost controller running 1.2bar
- VF28 turbo
- Intake mod (K&N pod + cold airbox)
i have just fitted a LINK (G1 aka Link Plus) ecu to it and the Link has a base map that runs the car sweet as.
I was wondering if anyone has had a LINK G1 tuned for some similar mods.
would they be able to give me the tuned map - i would then put that map on the LINK via the laptop connection.
Fuel to use will pe premium
thanks
numbers on the LINK ECU were:
SUBWRX2K
S01WRXB
SLAVE2kB
(18/12/01)
CODE 775
Serial# 146

To be honest Link G1 may be a step backward compared to original ecu from this year's car.
As far as I know G1 is rather simple ecu.
Anyway - if you want have this done well and safely, you should better talk to tuners.
Personally I'd suggest Bob Rawle, who mapped my car and also seems to have pretty much experience with Link ecus.
Getting someone else's map is not a really good idea in my opinion as even car with similar setups might differ in capabilities.
cheers
