Default Rotated turbo options

Currently run a GT35 on a 2.2l WRX on hillclimbs. Produced 440 whp but nothing below 4000rpm

Looking for something smaller and less laggy, as it is noticable when you are pounding up a mountain with over 40 second gear corners.

See that the GT3076 is a popular choice with RCMS, Lateral and AFP selling. Are these the same or are they modified according to each of the workshops preference?

Also considering the Owen Developments Subaru specific turbo that comes in either 400 - 450 and 475-550 bhp models depending on other engine mods. Dont notice them mentioned on here, but they seem to know what they are on about.

Has anyone used one of these?

If you are already running the rotated piework needed for a GT35, going back to a stock fit turbo would be a step backwards. A GT30 would definitely be better suited to your requirements. The are others more knowledgeable than I on the various GT30 options, so will leave that to them to answer.

Definitely will stay rotated. I just checked the Owen Developments one and its states that it fits the standard Subaru downpipe which seems to me not to be rotated, although I have not seen an external wastegate turbo that was not rotated.

Tracktive Solutions have run a GT30 that was externally wastegated, but was standard position. That turbo was from Owen.
