Put me right please
Ok im new to all the modding on the impreza
love my car and have taken advise from people on here before
but was stood in the pub car park in Darlington when this lad pulls up in another Impreza.
We start talking and he asks me about the car and what i have on it.
Nice enough lad at first i think likes his cars
So i say ive got
WRX 05 turbo
Prodrive
K&N Induction kit
Upgraded TMIC
Red Stuff Breaks & Disks
Ninja Exhaust system decatted
Turbo Timer Fitted ( on advise from this site )
New tyres all Toya
Otherwise all standard
So he then goes of on a rant about how my induction kit is CRAP
and i should only use a VIPER COLD AIR INTAKE
Ok now i love the car and he never stopped going on or giving me a chance to ask the difference.
So here i am
Can anyone tell me if its just another Induction Kit or is it something that would make a massive difference.
Thanks

K&N are a large company, so to say it is crap is a load of ****, you are likely to be paying a little extra for the name though.
Any induction kit that gets more colder air into the engine is better. Open cone filters are not good as they can suck up the warm air in the engine bay. Filters that need oiling are also a no go as they can clog up the MAF sensor.
