Unhappy Help, confusion - new maf engine choky

As some my know, my maf went, the car runs fine with out one but only limited to 20mph,it did come up with error 23.

Now I replaced it with new one, reset ECU and there is no errors.

But

The engine is really bad chokin, idles range from 1500 to 500 to stalling. I can put my foot on the gas and it ither chokes no power or revs.

Theres no error code, it flashes evenly.

HELP

PS it is the right Maf because I bought 2 so and it happens to both of them.

Havent a clue what it could be.

Plugged in, engine choking badly, idles between 500-2000 eratic, stalls, sometimes it responses to gas pedal.

Not Plugged in, engine choking (sounds like a chopper bike), smell of petrol, idles 1500, ok to drive but limited to 25mph, and is bit kangrooly, bouncy.

No error codes. Can do a video put it on later.
