Default Oil warning light on newage

Hi,

Just cleaned my engine bay (not sure if it's related) and have noticed that my oil warning light comes on dim at first then goes bright before starting the car. Once I start the car it then stays on but very dim, is that normal and if not what's wrong?

Any ideas?

Dim would suggest wiring/sensor related issue, maybe as the bay has been cleaned, damp etc.
Although it's not something you want to take a chance with. Take a look at the oil pressure sensor on the block check the connections are good, its located behind the oil pump and go from there.

Doesnt the oil pressure switch fit on the top nr/behind the PAS pump, if it does then the hole it sits in could be full of water after you clean down.
