over the past couple of weeks my car started to get idling problems. first i thought it was an air leak. i checked all the pipes and even put jublee clips on all of them. however this didnt solve the issue.
i thought it was the idle control valve so i cleaned it and refitted. Again this didnt do anything. so i then replaced it with tested working idle control valve. However nothing happened.
However then i noticed something very strange. When the radiator fans came on. the car idling goes erratic and up to a point where the car would stall. just to see if what i saw was correct. i switched on the heater so that the rad fans would come on. as soon as they did my cars idling went a cit crazy and it stalled. so i thought maybe the problem is the battery. so i replaced this with a high capacity battery. At first it looked like the problem had gone. however 1 day later problem started to occur again. now i think it maybe related to the alternator.
Before i go out and waste anymore money i.e. buy an alternator & find out its not that. Can any one advise me what i should do next? or if they have come across this problem before and what you did to fix it.
any help would be apprieciated. thanks in advance.

Kaff, it could be the base correcting settings for fuel/idle/battery voltage which is causing the idle to fluctuate when the fans are kicking in, if not im happy to cheack other areas for you. Drop by this week if your about
