Default snorkel delete help!

Hi guys

I recently took off the snorkel on my 1999 turbo 2000 and everything was fine went for a short spin to check my tyre pressures at the nearest garage about a mile away no problems on way back showed the car a lil bit of boost then started my problem!

The problem is just after she came on boost the car started spluttering like mad and cut out everytime the revs dropped around ideling speed any thoughts on why this has happened?

My thoughts are either I need to reset my ecu to make the car re learn settings and values or i could possibly have a nakered maf sensor.

oppinions and help would be welcome

Thanks in advance mark

Surely this one has already been put to bed? Just FYI (and that of anyone else reading), this "test" is a load of bollocks. Proves nothing and has the potential to damage a good sensor.

In fact the only thing it proves is that people will believe (and repeat) any old rubbish.

I know you're sharing something you read here. Trouble is that the info you're sharing is incorrect, and does more harm than good. There aren't too many ways to say that other than just saying it.

Well you could start by reading post #13 here, and then ask yourself whether I sound like I know what I'm talking about.

And yes, the OP got his problem sorted, but as the problem wasn't the airflow sensor in the first place it's not like your "test" helped him in any way, is it?
