hi guys just got myself some millers and a magnetic sump plug so im gonna do my oil tommorow trouble is i'm not great on the amount of oil i put in ( once put 2 x 5 litres in a sierra when i 1st started driving ) i wondered if anyone knows the exact amount for a 94 sti...........also would it be safe to use a engine oil flush as i've heard conflicting stories with mine being the sti

Hi mate,don't flush,just leave sump plug out until every last drop out.Quantity should be 4.5 litres and dont forget to prefill the filter

would it be better if the oils warm say i take it for a spin 1st and whats the danger of using a flush

Think its about 4-5 lts.

Change your oil filter as well.

Put 3 lts in leave to settle, check level on dip stick and top up as required.

The level between the min and max is about 1 ltr.

DO NOT over fill!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You might have opened a can of worms with the oil flush question!

I have used Worths oil flush (not Forte) in mine and all the cars we have serviced over the past 10 yrs with NO come backs. The choice is yours but if you do, dont drive it with the flush in just leave it idling for 5 mins then drain.

Yeah,if you warm the oil up it will flow out better.The dangers of flushing are that you are removing nearly all the oil out of the engine,so when you start her up there is a couple of seconds of metal on metal............not good This is particularly nasty on the scoobys boxer type engine
