engine swapped looms different!
Hi everyone first post so here goes
Last week started engine swap 96 sti gdc8 with grumbling big ends, brought a replacement engine from grade a subaru all appears ok swapped flywheel fitted new exeedy clutch changed cambelt crank seal and tensioner all good so far
new engine went in without too much trouble clutchplate wasnt aligned right on first attempt DOH!
the new engine has different connectors on the engine wiring loom at the back of the block, on the original its a 12/9 pin block on the new engine the are two 3 pin male ends, if i swap the engine wiring loom are there any other things i need to look out for, i have noticed on the new block at the back just below the inlet manifold plenum chamber there is a sensor of some sort but my old loom doesnt have this fitting.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, I have spent about 5 days in total on this, it rained, no it pissed it down for three of them and I refuse to be defeated!
thanks
