Going round in circles
F**king motor is driving me crackers. Have been trying to fit in a 2.5 build in between work so has taken ages.
Anyhow some opinions please on this current problem.
High running temp. NOT AIR LOCK
Car warms up as usual fan cuts in at 91 degrees but temp climbs and remains at 93 degrees if the car is ticking over and will remain like this all day.
On a run it will fluctuate between 91-94.
However when thermostat is removed the car will warm up as normal, fan cuts in at 91 degrees then the temp goes down to 86 degrees as it always used to. On a run the temp will reduce to as little as 65 degrees if on motorway for example. At NO point in any situation IE: thermostat in or out, being driven or stationary does the car boil over!!!.
I have tried three different thermostats now and just a bit confused.
Just to add, If the car has the stat in and is being driven and temp is 93 degrees, if i boot it a little (not supposed to as not mapped yet) the temp will drop for a short while.
Sorry for the long post but any ideas would be appreciated.

I have a new pump, new stat (albeit Zero Sports 71deg opening compared to OEM 78deg) and I've observed this:-
Normal urban driving: up to around 40-50mph max, and go-slows/stop/start = fluctuates between 86-91 (fan on @ 91 too).
When idling, up and down i.e. 86-91-86-91...etc... (fan @ 91)
When on a run and using boost, temps can come down to around 80+ (depending on ambiant temp). Have noticed 79, and less, as well.
