hi
have just finished fitting front mount intercooler and induction kit but on starting car engine light came onengine ticks over fine,just took it round the block to see what it drove like runs fine no overheating until i tried to take it over 3500 revs power seems to cut out then bang back in again?only tried it twice just to make sure it wasnt a one off not sure if thats down to engine light being on!
i am going to get it remapped once i have changed the injectors,fuel pump and fitted fuel regulater

 

Have you checked the error codes via the black plugs?

Connect black plugs, turn on ignition, count light flash sequence. Long flashes are tens and short flashes ones, so two long flashes and three short ones = code 23 etc.

MAP sensor failure

 

map or maf what does that mean

 

It means the ECU can't get a signal from the MAP sensr. Did you disconnect it while you were working on the engine?

 

the only plug i disconected was the near the air filter and i have plugged that back in
