Hi all,
Coming home from work today and noticed that the dump valve was no longer dumping - unless i accelerated hard. Normally the dump valve would release pressure at low revs and obviously dump more pressure when i have given it a bit of welly!
I have checked that no pipes going into the dump valve are kinked or have holes in. Just wondering if there are any checks i should perform to determine the fault.
Is it worth taking the dump valve off and opening it up? Where are the best places to check for faults?
The car is a Blobeye 2003 WRX STi Type UK (running about 330bhp) - the car was bought with the dump valve fitted and i do not have the original recirc. What are the problems with running the car with no working dump valve? i need the car to get to work...
Thanks for any help.... I am in the BASILDON ESSEX area if anybody feels the need to come and have a look at it

Right, just had a check under the bonnet and the small vac line going to the dump valve is definitely under vacuum. Is it worth stripping the dump valve down and looking at the diaphragm valve???
I need to use the car to get to work, so is it safe to drive moderately (not hgh boost levels)? Where is the best place to get a new diaphragm if i need one?
