as with my cupra the first thing i did was get a remap, the impreza im looking at (and hopefully getting) is a 2001 bugeye UK WRX. ive searched for remaps and scoobyclinic want £550! there doesnt seem to be as many scooby remaps about as there was VAG.
any advise on where to go? or anything else decent i could do to the car as i believe its completely standard
Thanks

Try looking at packages, ie Fuel pump, exhaust and remap in a bundle. Drive in get it fitted and drive out with a big smile. If you would rather get things done slow time then the fuel pump and exhaust are better done before a remap. As if you get the car remapped now you will only have to get it done again once you start fitting bit's. There is no harm in taking the car for a rolling road session to see what recommendations can be made and it may also show weaknesses. I found my turbo was on the way out on it's annual RR session and was able to get all the bits needed to allow me to fit the bigger turbo all together before mapping.

Welcome
these maps are all customised and mod dependent so you can get the best out of your car for the modifications you have ![Smile](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/smile.gif)
You could see about getting your car open sourced mapped, a few mappers do that and its cheaper due to no licence (though ecutek has some advantages).

The standard ecu on that model can be remapped no need for replacement.
The issue with generic maps as are available for the cupra is the subaru engines are v different so using the same map from another car with the same mods even is unwise, hence custom map required
