Where to start?
Hi all braught a 01 wrx ppp with only 44k on clock around a month ago and now looking for more power.
What mods should I do first, looking for around 280 if that's even possible on the standed turbo? On A tightish budget so will ideally like to buy a part say once a month than loads of bit's all in one.
Cheers

Welcome
Check with your insurance first, they may not like upgrades from the standard ppp'd car then do something with the brakes, then its down to a remap, thats around 650 quid but you will lose your ppp ecu as it will be mapped over, that should with some supporting mods (decat up and down pipes) give you 280bhp
Cost wise, you have not hinted how much your budget is but PPP'd cars dont like mods outside their box because its a custom map for the pack so dont try and skimp by not getting the car mapped and do other mods to the engine/exhaust as engines are quite expensive

Replace the 2-part, 2-cat downpipe with a decat item (or go FULL decat if you also replace the uppipe with a decat one too). Fresh air filter, fuel filter, plugs (I think the PPP already has the equiavlent to the Walbro pump in there). Then a remap using ECUTek will get you 280bhp on the WRX's TD04...
You can get some net money back by flogging the PPP'd ECU and replacing it with a regular one (because the remap would've overwritten the PPP map anyway...)

Cheer's tony
With the decat up pipe would it still go through the mot? 650 ouch, is there a cheaper option like having it road tuned or not? That was the plan just bolt on parts run it for a while intill I saved enough for a remap, will wait intill I have enough for everything as I dont fancy or have the funds for a rebuild.
Joz, Done plugs and fuel filter when I first got her, green panel filter is on the list of parts to get.
Tbh I thought the brakes where quite good, compared to my previous civic
