Default £5000 Budget - What and Where?

Hello Folks.

I'm really stuck and would be gratefully for some advice.

Car is 04 STI Type UK

The car had an upgrade by a company about a year ago and im looking to take it up to hopefully around the 400bhp mark.

From the 1st upgrade i have the following specification:-

650 Injectors
VF34 Modified turbo
Full 3" exhaust system with 100cell sports cat.
Remap etc...

I can’t find my dyno paperwork but I believe it made around 337-340 bhp.

Speaking to some companies I have been advised of the following.

New Manifolds
Hyperflow Intercooler
Hyperflow Under wing Induction
New Fuel Pump
Garrett GT3071 Hybrid Turbo

I understand my Exhaust and Injectors are already ok for upgrade.

What I’m looking for is a one stop shop that can advise/supply and install what’s required to achieve around the 400bhp mark.

I have a budget of £5000

Any thoughts / recommendations.

without a doubt mate, you should give Alan Jeffrey @ enginetuner a phone on 01752 345880, top class service, my car is with them just now and cannot fault them, from start to finish(which hopefully isnt far away) they have been superb

alan posts on here as well so even if you pm him i am sure he would give you a call to discuss your options

You could also try Zen Performance as a one stop shop.

That lot should cost you well short of £5k, closer to £3k I would have thought.

Aways chuck some octane booster in, but usually V-Power.... and "she" isn't 100% either, was diagnosed as "poor" on a leakage test in Jan 08, so kill it then cure it ?

LOL

dunx

P.S. Many make 420-ish on a H or more on a T, 2002 STI Type UK.

See breakdown below (have already done this so can write from experience, prices are very rough and based on you not wanting to do the wrork yourself):

Headers £450
Front Mount (Hyperflow Monster ) £1200
Wing Intake £200
Big K&N for Intake £40
MD321H/T (or other similar turbo) £1500
Silocon intake Pipe £90
ECU (Solaris ) £1600
Plugs (7's) £30
Walbro 255 Pump (do you have one already) £50
Fitting Headers/Front Mount/Turbo/Intake £500
Oil Change £50
Mapping £300

Total Cost (Approx) £6000

Possible savings if the aboves a bit ott :

- if you buy all of the above from one dealer/tunner they will more than likely knock a few £'s off
- If you go for a cheaper front mount (i.e. hybrid) you can knock £700 off the above?
- use the standard ECU with a boost controller and save another £1600?
- theres cheaper turbos (321's are well proven tho imo)
- some people would argue that the standard headers are ok (you could get them ported and save £400)
- you could fit things yourself and save £500
- you could go to a tunner like clinic or engine tuner who would more than likley be able to give you a package deal much cheaper than the above

All my opinion before anyone 'shots me down'. My car made 410bhp/350ft lbs with similar mods to that listed above.

Thanks for input guys.

After much talking to companies and folks i've decided to put my faith in Alan Jeffery. Roll on 2 weeks.

Any thoughts or experiances from people that have had work done with Alan appreciated? I have a good feeling talking through my wishes with Alan.
