Vehicle speed sensor

Well that all depends.
Do you have an error code telling you that the speed sensor is not working & does your speedo still work?
The speed sensor itself is part of the speedo assay and cannot be bought seperately, but it is driven by the speedo cable so could be a cable or drive fault.

Thanks for the reply, when Bob Rawle plugged into my Simtek ecu, the speed sensor was reading a few different random speeds even though we were stationary, also when driving the needle on the speedo waves.

That's strange..... The sensor rely's on the speedo internals "turning" to produce it's signal, so i'm baffled as to how it's managing it with everything stationary.
The waving speedo will be caused by either an incorrecly routed speedo cable (too tight a bend somewhere) causing the innner of the cable to not turn smoothly. Or the cable or speed converter (if fitted) have a tight spot in them and need replacing.
