Default 2pot to four pot?

would it be a straight swap..?

would i need to change the disks?

ive recently had a slider bolt that goes threw the pad carrier rust and snap inside the carrier would the four pots use the same carrier?

As long as you have 16 inch wheels they are a straight swap (and yes you would need different discs, 2 pots are 277mm and 4 pots are 294mm but they normally come with the calipers if you buy a second hand set )

It's a doddle mate, see here https://www.scoobynet.com/technical-...-bleeding.html

Yes

would i need to change the disks?
Yes, as above.

ive recently had a slider bolt that goes threw the pad carrier rust and snap inside the carrier would the four pots use the same carrier?
If it was the slider in the caliper that broke I wouldn't worry as you will be replacing the whole caliper. If you just want to replace the originals then give me a shout as I have some spare calipers and am not too far away from you IIRC.

Done both my UK MY97 cars and well worth it for the money. In addition removed the back plates which were rusty and too small anyway. Found that the rears faded as I was using the fronts harder so fitted the vented rears from the UK MY99 car. Manufacturers upgrade that works

If really nervous can do the swap for you.

Sorry, only got 3 sets of 2 pots.

Be careful with the scrappy ones, MY97/98 had different 2 pots to the earlier cars.

4 pot upgrade well worth the effort/expense. Budget about £250

No mate, when upgrading you will remove the old calipers completly and replace with the 4 pot, these have totally different pads so you will need a set of 4 pot pads too

And for another £50 odd you might as well get the stainless brake hoses as well

I'm in the middle of doing mine, i have the front 4 pots, discs and pads just waiting on the lines and rear discs to arrive then is go go go next weekend.

Front calipers £112 from Micky on SN
Front discs and pads 294mm x 24mm drilled and grooved £109
Rear discs 266mm x 18mm vented drilled and grooved £70
Hel s/s braided hoses x4 £55

Total budget £346.

Well worth it me thinks
