the cheap ones off ebay break after a while under boost and are no use anymore so you'll keep having to buy a new one so better putting your money into a good make such as hks, blitz etc. the hks opens on time and reacts quick and sounds great.

It probably isn't the answer you want to hear, but the best dumpvalve for your car is the one it was fitted with in the factory.

fair point, mine seems to be ok and its been on for a fair while, but it doesn't go off until really high revs, ive heard scoobys go past at very low revs and the dump valve goes off very loudly ? expensive ones ?

cheers nick

yea for example hks reacts quick and goes off from as low as 2500rpm and from 3000rpm it is just as loud as it would be at 7500rpm, yea the hks bov is expensive but works well, reacts quick and you get what you pay for, cheap ones tend to leak boost and sit open on idle

As already said the best one for a scooby is the standard one it came with.

as splitpin said, standard is for the better.i liked the sound of my baileys dv but after taking advice from this forum i put original back on.performance was unaffected yet it ran MUCH smoother.maybe quality(expensive) ones give you best of both worlds!
