will an 05 sti prodrive cat and 05 second decat pipe fit my 2.5 07 sti , the dealer said it would and then tried and then said it wouldnt...is the sti impreza prodrive sports cat the same as the prodrive one for the forester?? if the 05 one should fit and the forester one is different the i may have been sold the forester one

Nope they wont, 2005 STI is a 2ltr, 2007 STI is a 2.5ltr and the sumps are different, hence different downpipe.
I would listen to your dealer occasionally

Interested to know how it doesn't fit as my H&Scott Sports cat DP and 2nd Decat fitted (as to my MY03 WRX) went straight on to my MY06 Spec D when I parted out before trading in.

 

Just how near is the d/pipe to the sump

Weird ! these are fitted to mine. MY06 STi Spec D.

 

I the dealer has put both pipes together and the d/pipe is catching on the bulkhead then it sounds like the d/pipe sports cat is too short.
If its a genuine Prodrive item then I can't understand what car it is from? Is it really a sports cat or just a std 06> section?
06> cars have a shorter d/pipe and longer 2nd cat pipe than previous, so it sounds like one of these d/pipes.

this is a pick of the prodrive sport cat it is the later bell mouth version from 05 .
the decat pipe looks to have more of a bend in it the that h/s one and looks to be longer, its a scorpion sti 05 decat pipe ???
what do you think ?????????????

 

Genuine pipes...

Cut them off except the single bracket on the second decat pipe. Although I can't see why they would catch

 

the same parts as i have , but will they fit my 07 spec d??????????? i thought they would .

 

i think i may have been sold the prodrive down pipe from a forester
