just brought a paddle clutch are thay any good
now gonna sound daft but just brought a cg motorsport 5 paddle clutch kit but now think made a mistake as lookin up on it and people on other forums are saying thay are a pain to drive stalling etc i aint too sure what a paddle clutch is just brought it as got it cheap 200 pound brand new ? any info about what a paddle clutch is will be a big help thank you sorry for sounding stupid

Well good luck! I bought the same one as you. Some how the clutch does not disengage, its been installed good, had to bleed the system afterwards but still nothing. Its like the clutch fork can not pull the clutch apart. Motor must come out a third time!!

A pain in the *** to drive in traffic with. The clutch is either on or off, no bite point.
Fantastic for track use though and excellent for handling big power. Not for everyday use IMHO

Basically designed to handle more power than a standard organic friction plated clutch and " as it says on the box " has 5 individual cerametallic friction plates equi spaced around the circumference of the friction plate instead of the usual circular style.
Excellent heat capacity and indurance but tend to be heavy on your clutch foot and easy to stall, i ended up with calves like Usain Bolt while taking the kids through Blackpool illuminations in my Evo VII.
Can be prone to chatter and judder if you miss match match the clutch in relation to the amount of power your putting through it.
Me personaly i'd go for the biggest diameter organic clutch with a monster pressure plate instead
