Default poss charging problem

Hi all.
I need some advice, Havent used my car for 2 months gone to start it dead battery .
so I have charged it put it back on the car, car will start but i have noticed that when i load the battery/alternator i only get 11.6 volts,
as I unload it goes back to 13.4 volts.
If i leave the car overnight the voltage reading is 11.7 volts.
when starting this goes down to 6.7 volts. as you can imagine it turns the motor very slowly
when running goes to 13.4 volts.
I have cleaned all the earths on the battery and motor no difference

I think my battery is knackerd.

what do you think.

Thanks

Use a multimeter and take the reading from the alternator to see where the problem is.

I put a new battery on mine and my voltage gauge show 13.6v when running, loaded or not

99% certain batt is knacked.

Do the lights test. Put dipped beam on at night then crank. If it cranks slowly and the lights really dim down before motor catches, then pretty certain battery.

if you have left the battary connected for two months and the alarm on it will have killed the battary. test the voltage coming out the back of the alternator when the engine is running it should be over 13v.

Oops, that'll teach me for not reading the 1st post.

Yeah, the alarm will have flattened it. Trickle charge the battery overnight with a battery conditioner and see if it's salvagable...

Thanks all.
I conditioned the battery last night its goosed.
still showing 12.7 v after charge but drops as soon as its loaded and never recovers stays around 11.7 v after.

I will have to bite the bullet and get a battery only problem is the cheapest I can get is 150 euros

battaries aint cheep. go to your local motor factors they should be able to get one that will fit. as long as the posi and neg are the right way round and the ampage is correct jobs a gooden, as soon as you mention subaru the price goes up in my opinion.
