Hi Lads I have a 04 sti with Battery or alternator problems , I think its the battery. Basically when stood with the alarm activated for a few days she is dead, trouble is sometimes she is ok , if I disconnect the battery she keeps charge too. I have noticed my alarm keeps going off ,is it detecting a voltage drop in the battery? Is my alarm draining a tired battery or could it be a problem with my Toad alarm? The reason I'm questioning the alternator is because the other night we drove home some 15 miles in the pooring rain with wipers , blowers, aircon and lights on the next day the battery was flat!

What price am I looking at a new battery the one on is not original and looks old has tipex paint on it saying Scooby , I'm thinking it's an old one from a breaker.

sounds like a battery but really needs checking with a multi metre to be 100%

 

I bought a New Varta for my MY03 WRX when it was 1 year old cost me about £60 Brand new from Viking and fixed all the low battery issues

 

Located a battery 4 year warranty £54 delivered will give that a go.

 

hang on i had this problem with my toad alarm took the bat. out charged it up over the weekend and its done the trick!!!!!! try that b4 you pay £54 m8
