I am looking to buy a uk 6 speed and have seen one but when i asked the seller if it has any crunches he said "It does "snick" (but not full crunch)a little sometimes into 5th but that's normal so I've heard for uk 6 speeds."

Is this correct or should i steer clear?

 

Mine certainly doesn't do that

 

doesn't do it on mine either, mind you 15 mins after I had it fitted the engine blew up

 

Sounds like the 5th gear syncro is starting on it's way out. Would take a while to go but unless its a real bargain I would give it a miss. Or, get the syncro changed before you fit it just to be safe.

 

I've had an occasional "snick" going down from 3rd to 2nd but never into 5th 4th to 5th is the least pleasant of the changes.

Mine changes perfect between all gears up or down the box, its a uk 6 speed. Jay
