Hi all,
As i've got quite a few little scrapes on the centre console and needs changing, I'm thinking about changing the whole lot to a MY05 heater controls and console.
I know physically what parts I'll need ie console, controls, gaitor, ashtray and cup holders, but what I don't know are the plugs on the rear of the heater control the same on the 2003 and the 2005> ?
As anyone carried out a simlar change?

Friend of mine has just fitted the 05 centre console to his bug. Think it was a straight swap plug wise. I'll ask him to post on this thread.

I just did this on my 03 wrx, the connections are identical and is a straightforward swap, only issue is the electric mirror switch as it is in the door on the 05 cars. I fitted 05 doorcards as well, so ended up with the mirror switch there, others have made it fit in the console where the dccd switch would go. You also need the steel bracket that fits to the upper dash and the heater vents screw to it, also the lower steel bracket on the console is different, but I altered mine so that it fits. If you do the door cards as well, you will need to put you 03 window switches in 05 door trims as the plugs on these are different, also need the 05 mirror switch and plug to do it properly, If you need any more info let me know.
