Default EJ20 buying help..

I'm currently talking to someone who breaks Impreza's and sells parts, now they have 4 WRX engines at the moment.

But they've just replied to me and said something that confused me a little..

He said "The engines are included with turbo heads to allow your turbo to be used."

Now that scared me a bit as it would anyone buying an engine..

Is it possible that people bolt turbo heads to Non turbo bottom ends? Or isnt this possible?

If it is possible are there any ways of telling?

Thanks in advance to anyone that can help.
