Default Switching front seats

I was considering switching my front seats to even up the wear. But it appears right and left seats are not in fact interchangable -Am I correct?

It's not as simple as undoing them from the floor, if that's what you were hoping, no. The frames are handed and the driver's side has the height and tilt adjustment.

The squabs can be swapped easily by unbolting the pans from the seat frames, or undoing the clips that hold the cushions to the pan. The backs are tougher as the pivots are handed. Can't remember whether it's possible to swap them without removing the covers.
