Default rear brakes

hi all,i want to upgrade the rear brakes on my 99 classic!it has the single pot standards at the min and i want to upgrade to the newage 2 pots!
obviously i will need calipers,discs and the adaptor brackets but what about the handbrake shoes?are they the same size??

Provided you get discs for the newage WRX, yes, the handbrake is the same size. It's the classic Type R/RA discs that have the larger drum.

I thought you needed to fit larger brake shoe's as i looked into this briefly, maybe wrong tho.

thats what i thought but have been told yes you do and no you dont! suppose will just have to see when it comes to it!
