Default POSSIBLE ENGINE PROBLEM ej20 2003

Hi people, I HAVE A WRX 2.0 TURBO (225bhp) BLOB EYE ON A 53PLATE,
I just want to ask about an engine rebuild that got done.
I have had it rebuilt twice now as the bottom end went both times
on the second rebuild, when I start the car it puffs out white smoke
I took it for a long drive to clear any condensation in the exhaust system, but it still puffs white smoke out on start up
I took the car to Subaru and they said the car is running fine as the emisions passed the test, I got this checked because It was belived the car was running lean, and this was the reason for it going again. Anyway the mechanic told me that the car is losing compression. I am worried that this is the case as I cannot have the car off the road any longer due to work. Any comments would be good thanks

If the mechanic said its loosing Compression, then its an internal problem eg pistons/rings,valves not sealing, head gaskets etc etc.
A Cylinder Leakage Test would help pinpoint any potential problem's with the internal health of the engine.
