Default What Power 99 Facelift WRX

Hi

Ive been a member for a while but never posted so HI everyone...

Having owned 3 subaru's now 1 classic shape a blobeye and now another facelift classic I'm not new to ownership, what I am wondering is what sort of power my current car would be putting out as it is the only one I have owned that seems to have been heavily played with, the mods are as follows

Turbo Back Stainless Exhaust, looks like its 3" all the way through
HKS Induction Kit
Uprated Fuel Pressure Regulator, and uprated fuel pump
TD05 Turbo, so I am assuming its been remapped as well

Its a 99 UK Facelift

Any help would be much appreciated

If it has been remapped, it should be appreciably over 300bhp with that turbo - probably nearer 330-odd, assuming it has standard injectors and intercooler.

If the previous owner was a numpty and it still has a standard map on it, then, well, pass. The thing is, if it had been properly mapped, that's a selling point so chances are the previous owner would have told you. It'd probably make sense to try and find out for certain whether it does have a proper map on it. Take it to any EcuTeK mapper and they'll be able to tell you within a few seconds of plugging their laptop in whether or not the ECU is standard.

Can we just confirm that its a UK Turbo 2000 AWD and not a JDM WRX? as you contradict yourself in the title then at the end and its

Sorry guys your right I didnt even realise until I read what I had written...

Its a U.K 2000 Turbo

I must admit that the guy I bought it from didnt seem to know what had been done to the car and the logbook shows only 2 owners including him, when I replied to the ad off a well known website the advert was less than 3 lines and did not give full details of the car..i.e it didnt state it had the following

Dump Valve
Uprated Turbo
Uprated Actuator
Uprated fuel pump
Cat 1 Alarm and Tracker
Turbo Timer
Quick Shift
Turbo Back Stainless Exhaust
Remap
HKS Induction Kit

The only way I have found out is to go through the multitude of history and bills that came with the car which to be honest was very surprising, the guy said he bought it on a spur of the moment and then realised when he tried to insure and run it that it wasnt for him so he only had it for a few months.

I wouldnt normally have bought a car with an owner who had no idea what had been done but due to the history and some of the real sheds I looked at for the same money this one was one of the best.

Thanks for the clarification Mike. Advice would remain to get it to a good EcuTek mapper and get them to give it a once-over. The peace of mind (and lack of repair bills) you'll get from knowing that it has all been mapped properly will be worth the outlay.

Thanks for all the advice

Can anyone recommend someone who is local to Essex or even a reputable tuner who would be able to do a dyno run to confirm whats been done and advise me if anything needs sorting, I dont want to end up shelling out for something that I dont need or getting duff advice.
