Default lamba sensor

hi all

my EML has come on and have worked out th lambda sensor is on permanent vacation.

need some help trying to figur out which is the right one to buy, have calle around and was asked whether front or back not sure !

any ideas? prices are ridiculous! been quoted £120 and up + vat!

also anyone know where i can buy one at a reasonable price?

i have a 2002 sti prodrive.


help please!

front is pre cat or the first one(say on manifold)
and rear is post cat or second one(say on down pipe)..
most will be ngk or bosch,and price sounds good to me..
my classic one was 180 all in..
where you based...
might be able to help but will need reg of car..

get a universal bosch/ngk 1 off ebay and splice your old connector on... you pay to have the conveiniance of the correct connector for your car... but you already have 1! on your old sensor.

think they're 3 wire if i remember correctly

You need to know the OBD II CEL Code which should have been read off the ECU to work out it was a lambda fault

Having found out which one I'd try the usual breakers....grade A, scoobybits etc
