Do I Still Need My MAP Sensor??
Went out this afternoon to fit my new rear drop links and this lot fell off
So was looking around to see if anything else might 'fall off'.
Now i am sure i read a thread that said if you are using a Dawes Device which i am, then the MAP and pressure exchange solenoid is redundant
Can someone please confirm if i can remove the whole assemby from the inner wing
with out any ill effects, ie CEL coming on.
Thanx in advance, Steve.

You cant remove the map sensor no. If you want to remove the boost solenoid you have to fit a resistor in the plug to trick the ecu into thinking its still there, otherwise it will throw the CEL.

as above you cant remove the map sensor! its crucial for ecu to see how much boost you are running.
