Default Std dump valve \ recirc valve

Hi,

I've removed a bailey dump valve to go back to standard. I just want to make sure I've fitted the new standard valve correctly.

Should the standard valve be positioned below i.e. located where the bailey blanking bung was before and just a standard hose to the top, basically opposite position to where the bailey valve was?

If you have a top mount intercooler;

Is there a pipe coming off the bottom right of the intercooler or does your dump valve bolt directly onto it ?

Or do you have an FMIC fitted.

Just need to get an idea of your setup first.

Yes, its a standard top mount I think. There is an L shape pipe coming off and the bailey valve was connected there with a short piece of hose about 2 inchs long. Beneath that lower down was a piece of hose connected to a pipe with a blank plate?

I'm not too good on this stuff yet, only bought the car on Monday please excuse my lack of knowledge

I've taken pictures of how I've fitted it, can anyone help me with uploading them?

That will be the same as my old setup then. Give me a couple of minutes and I will upload a couple of pics for you.

Although mine is a Forge recirc valve, the fitment is the same for the standard valve.

Hose from the intercooler goes to the top of the valve and you will need another hose to go from the side of the valve to the recirc pipe where the hose and blanking plug are at the moment.

As for uploading photos, I use this site;

ImageShack® - Image Hosting

Click upload at the top right, select the photo you want to upload and click Start Upload, further down the page. Once it`s uploaded copy and paste the link it provides for you.

Let me know how you get on.

Thanks for the pics mate. Going off them I've fitted it correctly.

Car runs ok, if not slightly better, so I'm happy
