Default Induction Kit - Short Ram or Cold Air?

Hi guys,

I've finally decided to stick an induction kit on my blobeye! Before i start im not looking for any power gains at all - just after the induction noise!! My two main choices are:

K&N Short Ram Enclosed or K&N Typhoon Cold Air (cone goes in the wing...)

If I got the Short Ram i would modify the air collector at the front of the car so instead of passing air into the inner wing it takes it and moves it straight in front of the Cone. Technically the cone wud be pulling air in the from the wing (original intake) and cooler air being forced into it from the collector.... I know engine mounted induction kits sound really good, but are prone to "heat issues"... would my suggested mods help reduce this somewhat?

If i got the cold air typhoon, it would locate the cone in the wing so it had access to lots of cool air..... ideal! but would you still get to hear the noise as well as the above engine bay cone??

So my real Q is.....whats going to sound / work the best??

Cheers for any suggestions guys!!
Will

not a k&n as they are oil based....
best to look at non oiled ones like apex'i,blitz or the rcm kit
and make a sheild

Unless your running 400bhp+ these are useless and a good panel filter actually provides better airflow (pus with the right filter you will get a better induction noise )

my blitz sus with zerosports pipe sounds the nuts..
you get the hard suck and sounds like a dump valve,on release or gear change..
it is louder since i got rid of the rubbish plastic pipe..
and spool is alot better seems to come in alot better and sooner..

think that its a wives tail that you need over a certain bhp to see any gains...
many cars run 280+ bhp and still have i/kits..
i only have 310 and wont change it no matter what!!!
as you say the noise gets me every time to..and when in a scoob without one on i feel like the cars missing something...
just go for .....and never look back....
