Default for the love of god help me pleeeeeeeease

afternoon all i have a classic wagon wrx no known mods apart from 3.5 inch exhaust. Problem i have is when the car is warm it revs up and down had a code it was iacv so got one off tinternet fitted it but it still does it. check engine light still comes on but it goes off when the car isat a stand still. One thing i have noticed is that if i pull the pipe from boost solenoid it goes away has anyone had this problem before or does im close to tears

Have you reset the ECU after fitting??

Cheap replacements don't always do the job either

may have found something noticed on my secondary air box that the plastic pipe has snaped and there is a loose air pip. it dont seem to be sucking but it does go to the solenoid could this be causing me to go bald

connect the green connectors under dash, turn on ignition and take the vac pipes off the boost sellunoid then squirt the carb/brake cleaner in to the ports, top one mainly but do the other two to just for good measure

that will probably be your problem, that need to be connected to your resinator so the boost selluniod knows what air is going into the engine. with that not connected it usaly causes over boost

it more likely to be the snapped vac pipe thats causing the hunting problems, its good idea to clean the boost selluniod from time to time because they do get crap in there

It's more important to block the hole on the resonator than to connect the bottom pipe from the BCS, dirty unmetered air will be being drawn in to the air inlet, it is ok (ish) to let the bottom pipe vent to atmosphere for now, until you find a way of reconnecting, use a brass plumbing connector threaded into the airbox and push the pipe back on

edit, the pipe will blow, not suck, the hole will suck
