Just wondering whats the highest mileage any one has got on their car and what type of problems has any one experienced with high miles?

As im about to hit 199,000 miles but had brand new engine fitted 50k miles ago with new vf28 and brand new STI suspension etc...

My UK 97 wagon has a DIY PPP at 142,000 miles, still on original (very slappy) engine but has eaten 2 gearboxes, a rad, a power steering cooling pipe, and new shocks all round.

Wife's UK 97 saloon has 135,000 miles and will be on it's 3rd engine soon, has also had a rad and will be getting new shocks when running again.

Both have had new clutches as a precaution, and the ubiquitious 4 pots.

The back up Fiesta has done 120,000 miles, totally standard, and is the youngest of my 4 cars LOL

My car is low mileage - 1998 with 52K. Still 11 years old though, and bodywork immaculate. Not a speck of rust in sight, only thing which shows its age really is the door card on drivers side, tha handle part is all bumpy.

Rear arches and above the windscreen can be pretty common, mine had both (10 years in the uk for you) all resprayed now though

bought the car 2.5 years ago, had 24k on it now has 40k.
Not a lot of miles. The only thing have had to do(not moddify) is service it and put a new windscreen in thanks to a nasty stone chip.

Ours is all original and has 107k on.

Famous last words as it'll start to fall in pieces from here on in!

Sunnysideup will be along soon. Think he is going for interstellar mileage by keeping his standard. Never known someone so anti mod.

and bubles on top of the winscreen and on the side pillar, but at this moment the pillars and the start of the roof is in primer with the screen out

My '98 Legacy is on 148,000 miles give or take. Still on original engine and gearbox AFAIk. Radiator replaced a few weeks ago but that was due to a low speed front-ender. Suspension replaced, some rust on rear arches and bubbling above windscreen. I fear the HG might be on the way out and the rocker gaskets definitely need doing.

Other than that it's doing very well but it has been looked after. Oh, it's very slappy on startup but has been since at least the last owner had it at 60k miles or so and still going strong.

Ive noticed that on the drivers side rear arch has started to bubble, is there any thing i can do to stop it? as i had a full car respray about 6 months and was taken down to bare metal before it was reprayed

124600miles on 1997 uk 2000 turbo wagon, bog standard original engine & gearbox, just had first clutch replaced. It did a 15.0 & a 14.6 sec. 1/4 mile at santa pod on saturday beating a 3l n/a supra and a prelude type s by over a second so I was well happy as it was my first time on the track. Then when I was done I towed the caravan home with it!

117K on my UK S-turbo, clutch and rad is all, one of the guys on the Foz forum's JDM car hit 220K on original engine and box....had little mora than what would normally be considered as service items.

scooby350, probably breakthrough from the rear, its a 'proper' jpb needed, so cut out rust and weld in fresh, spraying the front won't have fixed that!

I managed to buy a standard 1996 uk turbo last year, with 56k on it (On 63k now). Only done around 10k in the past 5 years before I got it, full dealership history, but has had replacement clutch already, and gearbox removed and refitted. I have had to replace the rad, and coolant header tank, apart from that it's been running sweet as
