Default Iratic Idle and flat spot from running cold??

Hey guys

Need some help. As the title says, when running from cold the idle doesnt want to hold and when accelerating sometimes the revs just drop and the car feels likes its about to stall and lurches, and then gets going again. Once its warm its perfectly fine but seeing as its going to get even colder now, its not something I want to leave as it is.

Has anyone had anything similar and solved it or found what it was?

Thanks
T.

if your revs bounce when you start then it sounds like the idle control valve could do with a clean theres a guide on here somewhere, might also be worth checking your vaccum hoses are connected properly or not split that can cause your revs to bounce hth

Thanks for the reply guys. Ill have a look at the hoses etc once it stops raining.

Happened again today when leaving work. Was coming off the lights then it just didnt want to move. Pressed the acclerator and was getting nothing then after about 2-3 seconds it cut out. Started back up again and was fine after a a couple of minutes.

As mbx says, it sounds very much like CTS-based symptoms.
