Default Z4 ecu with polar chip

Hi there got a 1992 jap import wrx with standard ecu with unichip which is mapped with the standard td05 16g turbo and there is a boy selling a z4 ecu with polar chip so would the z4 ecu be better as read that they are 280bhp alone without the chip for upgrading power and accelaration as away to upgrade turbo to vf43 and put in bigger injectors so would be grateful if anybody knows anything about which al be better the standard ecu mapped again or putting on the z4 ecu with the polar chip cheers

z4 gives 260ps not 280ps as standard, none of the early ecu's are mappable, you can only buy a "mapped chip" to fit to the ecu which you have already in your own ecu which should be as good as the chipped z4,apexi or similar would be the only way to map to larger injectors and different turbo etc thanks bryan

For early ecus you can buy the ESL live map board (about £500ish including mapping)
Enduring Solutions Limited which will fit your standard ecu

Info on the Polar chip is here PolarPerformance
