I've got a 2001 classic shape impreza. I think I've burned a piston out as it was under fueling which i sorted, 3 months down the line it cut out on me and is now knocking like a tractor! I live in Ellesmere which is close to Shrewsbury and Wrexham, can anybody help as to where i might get this fixed or if i need a recon engine where is a good place to get it fitted. doubt you will get a decent re-con engine without paying 1000`s. with imprezas you get what you pay for. you best bet would be to do what i did and to buy a runner thats been shunted and do a engine swap. all in it cost me -£55 and i have made £55 extra on parts from the orig price i payed for the donor car which was £500! happy days!

other than that.. David at API is one of the best he will see your engine re-built with brand new parts but it aint cheap!
