Default ECU adapter Question

Does anyone know of a supplier for an early style 4 plug ECU adaptor that can be used to fit a 3 plug ECU.

I've an early 4 plug just now and looking to remap the car and use a GEMS or similar.

There seem to be more 3 plug options so if I can get an adaptor to run my existing 4 plugs into a 3 plug ECU will widen the choice.

Has anyone done anything like this before - good / bad feedback would be useful.

Cheers,
Andy

not quite as simple as that..

there are same options for both plus the ESL daughterboard for the 4plug so not sure where you are looking?

Thanks Simon.
What features does the daughter board give.....can it do anti-lag for instance, it may be a consideration?
If not, I'd be looking for a remap of my current EPROM (if that is possible) as the cheapest option, or else go the expensive option and buy something like a GEMS system.

The adaptor Q, was really to allow me more flexibilty in buying s/h units as more 3 plug GEMS units come up than 4, I haven't seen a s/h 4 plug advertised yet.

Cheers,
Andy

There are lots of 4 plug Jecs ECU's for sale, just look on eBay, and cheap too!! ESL is the way to go for V1-V2 remaps. You can have extra features added to ESL because it's upgradeable via the firmware and could include things like Switchable maps, ALS, Launch Control, Shift Light, Detonation alert, MAF FSD and Injector IDC Alert via the CEL light or an external LED.
