Default how to ID my 98 forester - ssm or obd2?

Hi please go easy on me, I'm new to the Sooby and the Scooby. I just bought a 98 Forester, but I'm not sure how to tell if it's OBD2 compliant or if it's the old SSM. I understand in 1998 there are some of each, and I don't see any label that says which. It's a US model S if that helps.

Thanks for your help!
Jason
