I have recently put a 98 engine in my 93 impreza got it all running nicely but its over fueling badly i know this because i got a friend to hook it up to the emissions machine. Any ideas ?

It's a 98 engin mate so I'm thinking it actually needs the 98 ecu should fit I think.

 

not sure what your issue is but a 98 ecu will not fit into a 93 car.

are you using the same heads (from the 93 car), fuel injectors etc.

 

Well there u go I still imagine it needs the programming of the 98 ecu though cud be wrong

 

Its a 98 engine. I pretty much took the engine out of the 98 and put it straight into my 93. Do you think it needs a remap or is there anything else I can do?

 

could be many things i think its worth getting someone to check it out.

does it have 380cc injectors not 440cc ones ?

have you put in another jap set up ?

the 98 engine has different heads to the older ones, normally i think people usually just swap the bottom ends.
