hi all ive got a 94 classic an the car is starting running a lttle sloppy an then cuts out after about a minute ive changed the plugs an checked the coil packs an they are fine has anyone had this problem before or do they no what i can do coz its recking my head now

 

Do a search on here for MAF sensors as that is what it sounds like. I am sure more experienced guys will be along shortly to advise.

hadvery similar problem ast week but i wouldnt say a little sloppy i woud have said it was running like a bag of sh*te.

mine was maf. £300 for a new one i wasnt happy

 

did your car cut out tho coz mine is cutting out after about a minute

 

yeah. started up ran fine for a couple of seconds then revs increased to 1400rpm by its self for a second or so then would either cut straight out or run a like a sack of shat for a minute or so then cut out

 

this aint doing that it just runs for a min with a little mis fire an them cuts out its just as if ive turned of the key

 

what about if you rev it

 

does the same thing but sounds like its running on 3 (mis fireing) could it be timing

 

still sounds very maf related.
