ecu check on 07 wrx

can u check the ecu codes on the 07 wrx ? like you can with the classic

Not the same way as with a classic, no. Newage doesn't have read memory connectors. Need an external tool of some sort.

you can readers on the bay for about £15-£20 which will clear and reset the CEL but they won't reset the ECU at that price...in case you were going to ask
