Default Annoying 'Knock' in boot

Hey,

I have an annoying 'knock' in the boot when I hit certain bumps,It sounds like the spacer saver cover is jumping around but I have checked this and put rags underneath and it is not this. if I stand at the back of the car and press on the boot lid,I get a similar noise from the boot catch but it seems really quite and can't see it being that either.

I've had a shake of the exhaust and that doesn't seem to hit anything so I'm stumped?

I also get a diffrent knock just on the passenger side rear, sounds like a shocker knocking but I have Teins fitted so it's not the common shock knocking issue.

Any thoughts? it's an 03 STi

I also should add I never noticed it before fitting my fuel pump, and new exhaust.

thanks,

I had that sort of issue and it was indeed the boot catch rattling - I moved the catch down a bit and wrapped some insulating tape around the bar and no more rattle over bumps. Worth a try first.

Give the tail pipe of the exhaust a good shake> to check it cant make contact with any body parts body. Had issues with mine where the exhaust mountings were touching.

Hey,

yeah i'll try that,it does sound like that,or some thing similar.

I also noticed, when you open the boot fully, and let it rest, the left 'arm' has a horrible twisting sound every time the boot lid opens fully, wondering if that has anything to do with it?

I had a rattle of the exhaust and it doesn't seem to touch anything.

Thanks guy's,
