Default Thinking of ECU upgrade STi PPP ?

Im thinking of a ecu upgrade, safe and simple, been offered a Prodrive STi PPP one for 275, tempted, wanted to know if theres any others aroun that price as good as ? also seen this
4 plug
Type SB
A good cheap upgrade, with good power gains over the standard ecu or Z4.
Takes minutes to fit (plug & play).

my cars a 1999 classic with a stainless steel exhaust.. no other mods..
theres so many ecus out there when you look ! confusing me somewhat, but i want a simply plug and play upgrade, nothing to heavy, just a wee tweak
any pointers, or anyone got one for sale

I would think that you will have to add the supporting mods that would have come with the PPP for the ecu to work properly

I may be mistaken but i think the ppp differ depending on what model it is: on the earlier cars i think it was an ecu,ram air filter & backbox.Later classics had an ecu, sports cat, intercooler pipe and backbox.

the upgrade you mention is for the 92~96 car.. not 99.

The 99 is remappable though with ecutek software.

is there a ppp ecu for a my99? if so what supporting mods would you need to run it? iv often thought of this as a cheaper upgrade the an ecutek? what sort of figures would this produce compared to an ecutek map?
