Default Speed sensor bypass?

My car has a faulty speedo cable coming from the gearbox, i cant rev my car because the check engine light is on due to the speedo cable/sensor.

is there a way to bypass the sensor so the car will run fine with no check engine light ?

Like put a resistor or sumit in the sensor?

No. The ECU needs the speed sensor input to control the engine properly. The car won't run correctly without it.
