Default Is this the correct start motor to be buying?

Hi guys my brother's Subaru has been playing up for a while, garage thinks it's the starter motor. He has a 1995 M-reg classic turbo, imported in 2003. Would this be the correct one?

Starter Motor for a Subaru Impreza WRX Turbo 1996 on eBay (end time 30-Nov-09 16:57:20 GMT)

He said it needs to be 1Kw or something? Garage said the best bet is to take his out first and have a look to get the absolute right one... both of us are pretty much amateurs at car mechanics lol, any help appreciated

Its a risk buying a 13 year old starter motor, you may as well buy recon or new, ok new is 344 ish quid but thats about 500 quid cheaper than a new age STI one

Yeah that's obviously quite a big difference though, any idea where the best place to get recon ones is?

From Import Car Parts

1 x Reconditioned Starter Motor

Impreza from around the 07/1997 on

Surcharge Exchange Units

All Starter Motors are sold on a "Surcharge Exchange" basis, this means that we require the old unit returning back to us in an acceptable condition, how you return the old unit/s back is up to the customer, however we do recommend using an insured and signed for service. Delivering couriers will not return the old units back to us for free so we are unable to collect your old units from you, most customers use Parcel Force's "Standard Parcel Services" obtainable at the Post Office

ICP 4149
Cost £105.00
Surcharge £50

They have them for earlier cars at the same price.
