Advice needed please !!
Hi everyone
I have a 99 uk wagon that i have been having a few boost problems with and have changed the maf, lambda and coolant temp sensor (all genuine subaru).
I have also cleaned the boost solenoid, checked all the boost hoses and vacuum pipes. Its alot better but still not right lol.
Anyway my question is i have been checking trough things bit by bit and i cant seem to get the brown soleniod just under the boost/map sensor to do anything, had it out and tried to bench test it with a vac gauge but seems blocked even if i power it up.
Can any one tell me what this is and how is it supposed to work?
My thinking is if it aint working then the boost/map sensor aint going to see any boost/vacuum.
Thanks steve

Hi Tony
I own my own garage so thought i would fix it myself
The maf was changed as it would probably need doing at some stage and lamda looked like it had been on there from new and its done over 120k now.
As for checking for fault codes I done that first and it was all clear, then i done a ecu reset ect.
And it would cost me a fortune but The business pay for it
