Thanks for posting that up. I use Mobil 1 Motorsport oil (15w50) and I was unaware of Halfords offer. Last time it was £49.99 from Halfords near me so I'm off to have a look as I'm doing my oil change in a week or two. I think this oil is worth every penny.....but still should be cheaper really

Mobil 1 Motorsport is excellent, no reason not to give it a crack.

That's a thick old oil for the winter months?
I wouldn't consider anything over a 10/40 for winter, especially in a new age.

The 15w-50 is good in classics, a bit too thick in the newer ones unless they are heavily modified.

Those places are cheap, but give us a call and we'll beat them

Sadly courier charges are a thorn in my side, but the upside is the oil does come to you, you dont have to go to it.

At the fuel consumption of some of these scoobs it can be cheaper to have ti delivered then drive to it...

Cheers

Another bonus is your girlfriend can't drag you into the B&Q next door. That can be hard on your wallet and relationship

Well i dont know what you classify as heavily modified, i have Silkolene Pro R 15w 50 in mine from RCM that they have always used in the years i have been going there. My car is an 03 WRX, supposedly at around 340 bhp, 357 ib/ft.

That offer at Halfords goes on til January so I was told. I'm going to get some next week for my oil change. Thanks again for letting us know. I think Mobil 1 Motorsport oil is excellent and one of the best...if not the best...on the market today.
